An established commercial gas engineering business is looking to appoint a Sales Manager – Gas Engineering Spare Parts to develop and grow its spare parts sales operation. Specialising in the installation, servicing and repair of industrial gas fired equipment and commercial gas powered systems, the business has a strong reputation and an existing client base.
About the Role
This Sales Manager – Gas Engineering Spare Parts role offers the opportunity to play a key part in building a growing revenue stream within a well established organisation. This is a sales led, commercially focused position, working closely with a highly technical engineering team, while remaining firmly focused on customer development and sales performance rather than hands on engineering. The role is mainly internal sales and office based in Worcestershire, with some customer visits and online meetings as required.
Responsibilities
- Growing spare parts sales for commercial and industrial gas fired equipment
- Introducing and developing the spares offering with existing and dormant customers
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities for spare parts sales
- Managing customer relationships through internal sales activity, online meetings and occasional site visits
- Working alongside engineering and operational teams to support customer needs
Qualifications
This opportunity will suit a mid to late career sales professional with experience selling into the gas engineering, industrial equipment or commercial heating sector.
Required Skills
- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within a technical or engineering led environment
- Experience selling spare parts, technical products or engineered solutions
- Ideally some experience with commercial gas equipment, industrial boilers, industrial gas burners, commercial heating or similar sectors
- Strong internal sales capability, with confidence engaging customers remotely and in person
- Ability to develop both existing accounts and new business opportunities
- Organised, self motivated and commercially driven
Preferred Skills
While technical understanding is beneficial, this role is sales focused rather than hands on engineering.
Pay range and compensation package
- £45,000 basic salary plus sales bonus
- Pension scheme
- 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
