The Business
A well-established, high-growth FMCG business is on the lookout for a senior Field Sales Controller to take the reins of a 20+ strong national field team. Operating across Foodservice and Retail Convenience, this is a role with real weight, you’ll be shaping strategy, owning performance, and showing up as a genuine leader across the commercial function.
What the Role Involves
- Lead and develop a national field sales team of 20+ people, setting the standard across all regions
- Own delivery of KPIs across Independent Foodservice and Retail Convenience channels
- Drive the Independent Foodservice growth agenda – strategy, execution, and accountability
- Manage national field forecasting and performance reporting
- Retain and grow key accounts while reactivating lapsed customers
- Be visible in the field – coaching, accompanying, and developing your team regularly
- Oversee onboarding, training, and capability-building across the field structure
- Represent the field function at a senior level within the wider business
What They’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven track record leading large field sales teams (10–25+ people) in an Food Service environment
- Solid experience across Foodservice convenience
- Operating experience at Regional Director or Senior Field Sales Manager level (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable ability to deliver growth through teams – not just as an individual contributor
- Confident stakeholder influencer with strong commercial presence
