What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Modality Lead Radiographer Interventional Radiology to join our Imaging team with a competitive salary range on offer, dependent on experience. The post holder will be responsible for the professional and operational leadership of the Interventional Radiology Service at Cleveland Clinic London. Supervising Interventional Senior Radiographers and developing the service to fit with changing demands, the role will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under the overall guidance of the Radiology Manager to ensure the highest standard of service to patients, consultants and visitors. This is a full-time permanent role working from Monday to Friday. There will be overtime and on-call requirements in accordance with business needs as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialised radiographic imaging procedures to a high technical and professional standard, and act as a clinical expert in Interventional Radiology including Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Neuroradiology and vascular radiology
  • Manage Interventional Radiographer levels, skill mix and capacity ensuring adequate staffing levels on a day-to-day basis
  • Work with other Radiography Leads and management team to develop new and maintain existing Imaging Service policies, procedures and protocols to reflect recognised best practice and be practical in application
  • Supply medicines using Patient Group Directions, without compromising patient safety. This involves ascertaining the patient’s suitability for drugs and taking joint responsibility for potential complications under the indirect supervision of radiologists. Be aware of clinical hazards and emergencies that such drugs can induce
  • Initiate, research and implement special studies and projects to enhance the patient care delivery systems

What we need from you?

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required
  • Current valid HCPC registration
  • Certified Radiation Protection Supervisor is preferred
  • Demonstrate leadership, management, communication, counselling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills
  • Highly developed specialist Interventional Radiology knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience
  • Previous experience in UK private healthcare sector is preferred
