We are currently looking for an Associate Business Analyst, who will support Capability Leads, Business Architects and Business Analysts to produce clear, structured and well-documented outputs that help the organisation understand how it works and where it needs to improve. This is a delivery-focused and framework-applying role. The Associate Business Analyst will work within the methods, templates and standards set by the Business Architecture & Analysis Department, contributing analytical rigour and documentation quality to capability improvement and change initiatives. It is an ideal entry point for someone developing a career in business analysis or business architecture.

As the Associate Business Analyst, you will:

  • Document end-to-end processes and ways of working using agreed modelling standards, tools and templates.
  • Gather and structure business requirements under the guidance of a Business Analyst, ensuring they are clear, traceable and aligned to agreed objectives.
  • Analyse current processes to identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare materials, templates and logistics for workshops, interviews and working sessions.
  • Produce and maintain business analysis artefacts: process maps, requirements documents, impact assessments, action logs and decision logs.
  • Support the capture of process performance information and operational insights that feed improvement and KPI discussions.

We are looking for:

  • Demonstratable experience in process documentation, business analysis, process improvement or operational support roles.
  • Knowledge of working in complex, regulated or cross-functional organisations.
  • Skilled at producing structured documentation and analysis outputs.
  • Competent supporting or participating in workshops and working sessions.
  • Experience using process modelling tools (e.g. Visio, Miro, ARIS).
  • Exposure to data, technology or digital improvement work.
