About Cathie
Cathie is a global offshore engineering consultancy, delivering geoscience, geotechnical and geospatial solutions to offshore renewable energy and infrastructure projects, with teams across the UK, Europe and the US.
About the Position
This is a key operations role focused on planning and coordinating offshore resources across multiple projects, including supporting the mobilisation and coordination of Offshore Client Representatives (OCRs).
This role is open to candidates who can work from our Newcastle or Brussels office.
You’ll work closely with project and operations teams to stay proactively aware of upcoming and ongoing projects, help keep resourcing on track, maintain clear communication with offshore personnel, and coordinate mobilisation logistics, OCR briefings and project documentation. You’ll also support the collation of risk assessments to ensure information is delivered accurately and efficiently.
As capacity allows, the role also provides administrative support to the QHSE function (approximately 10–20%), mainly helping with coordination and documentation.
The role includes regular out-of-hours coordination, supported by an on-call allowance. (This reflects how our offshore work runs in practice.)
This role could suit someone who…
- Enjoys being the person who brings order to moving parts and keeps plans realistic
- Is calm, responsive and practical when things change at short notice
- Likes working with people, communicates efficiently and can build credibility with project teams and offshore personnel
- Has experience in coordination, scheduling, logistics, operations support, or similar project-driven work
You Will
- Coordinate scheduling, availability and mobilisation of offshore personnel (including OCRs)
- Act as a key point of contact between operations, project teams, offshore personnel and clients
- Coordinate mobilisation logistics (travel, accommodation, documentation) and maintain accurate records
- Provide QHSE admin support (10–20%) focused on documentation and coordination
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and confident stakeholder communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational or project environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Flexibility to support operational needs, including regular out-of-hours coordination (with allowance)
Nice to have: offshore/project environment exposure, international mobilisation experience (e.g. travel/visas), basic QHSE awareness, NEBOSH or local equivalent, and French/Dutch for Belgium.
Why Join Us?
You’ll join a collaborative operations team supporting meaningful offshore renewables work, with the chance to build strong coordination and stakeholder skills in a busy, international project environment.

- Competitive salary and performance-related bonus (where applicable)
- Flexible/hybrid working arrangements
- Annual leave and benefits aligned with local regulations
