Homeownership Officer – 3‑month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Housing professional to join a reputable Housing Association in Islington as a Homeownership Officer. This role involves delivering high‑quality leasehold and homeowner support within a busy portfolio, making a real difference to residents and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing homeowner enquiries including covenant breaches, anti‑social behaviour (ASB), and lease‑hold questions
  • Coordinating repairs and estate services through liaising with contractors and managing agents
  • Processing staircasing, resales, lease extensions, and Right to Acquire applications
  • Assisting with service charge calculations and statutory Section20 consultations
  • Welcoming new residents and ensuring a smooth onboarding process
  • Monitoring communal areas and neighbourhood standards, ensuring health and safety compliance
  • Recording all customer contact accurately on the housing management system

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a Homeownership, Leasehold, or Housing Officer role within the housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of leasehold management and affordable housing policies
  • Experience with housing management systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and solution‑focused approach
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise workloads
  • Strong communication and stakeholder relationship‑building skills
