We are currently recruiting an experienced Chef Manager for temporary ongoing agency shifts at a care home setting in Barnard Castle.

Role Details

• Position: Chef Manager
• Location: The Manor House, Barnard Castle, DL12 8ET
• Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing
• Shift Pattern: Flexible agency shifts released weekly
• Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
• Setting: Care Home

Pay Rates

• £20.00 per hour PAYE
• £22.00 per hour Self-Employed

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• A minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager role within the UK
• Experience working within a care home or similar catering environment preferred
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a DBS certificate issued within the last 3 years
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
• Food hygiene knowledge and ability to work to high standards

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents
• Managing kitchen staff and maintaining food safety standards
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and hygiene regulations
• Stock control and kitchen organisation
