Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and leadership skills within a dynamic hospitality environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

This is a hands on role that will require someone who like to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. This is day time hours

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations

Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation

Manage food safety protocols, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations

Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences

Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively

Train and mentor new kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment

Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times

Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery

Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen area

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment

Extensive food production and preparation skills with a strong background in cooking techniques

Demonstrable team management and leadership abilities

Solid experience in food safety practices and compliance with health regulations

Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality service standards

Knowledge of food presentation, menu development, and culinary trends

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Strong communication skills to effectively lead and motivate staff
