Residential Conveyancer

Company: Oculus Legal Group
Apply for the Residential Conveyancer
Location: Nottingham
Job Description:

Oculus are working with a well-established Nottingham firm who are looking for a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer (2+ PQE) to join their Property team. This is a chance to join a small and developing area within a wider, established Property team.

The firm operates as a respected independent practice, combining heritage and stability with a modern, commercially focused approach. It advises a broad and diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, agricultural clients and multi-generational families, with a particular emphasis on developing long-standing client relationships.

The Property team is well regarded locally, with a strong commercial property offering forming the core of the department. Residential conveyancing currently represents a smaller, developing area of the practice, providing an opportunity for growth and development within the wider team structure.

They are recognised for delivering a bespoke, client-focused service, with an emphasis on quality over volume. Work is handled in a considered and professional manner, with a focus on technical excellence, commercial awareness and client care.

The role involves:

  • Managing a varied residential caseload from instruction to post-completion
  • Acting for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, agricultural clients and long-standing families
  • Delivering a bespoke, high-quality service rather than volume-driven work
  • Building strong client relationships and supporting ongoing business development
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm

Looking for someone with:

  • Experience within a property team and confidence running your own files
  • Strong client care and communication skills
  • A proactive, organised and team-focused approach

Benefits include:

  • Hybrid working
  • At least 23 days holiday, increasing each year for the first 2 years + Bank Holidays + Birthday off
  • Ongoing training and development support to help you progress
  • Enhanced Maternity and adoption leave pay
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme

This is a strong opportunity to join a friendly, down-to-earth team where you can help shape the residential offering and work on quality, relationship-led matters.
