Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the Infrastructure Programme Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager, stakeholders, suppliers, delivery partners, and support fellow members of the Project and Digital Technical Service Teams, delivering projects and work streams within the parameters of time, quality and cost. The role will encompass all project related activities, including the management of resources, with an expectation on delivering a quality business case and PID documentation.

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and technical project manager to manage the Infrastructure Department’s technical projects to a successful and expected conclusion. The post holder should have a positive approach to project delivery and a proven track record of managing and overcoming risks and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that all projects are run to appropriate methodologies and that an auditable trail exists throughout the life of the project.
  • Create and manage the related business case and PID documentation.
  • Negotiate with clinical and management colleagues a practical plan regarding project deliverables as required to achieve the strategy.
  • Monitor the progress of each work‑stream against the agreed project plan and intervene at any point where there is a risk of delay, resource overuse or unacceptable quality.
  • Create and regularly update the delivery of related projects within the project team management software to progress the project to meet goals and milestones.
  • Monitor and manage the own work‑stream through the project team management software and report to appropriate stakeholder groups.

In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non‑clinical roles and Band 3 Non‑Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship. The majority of non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band 3 – 6) with the exception of those which appear on this list – link – will not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. All non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7 – 9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship. The Trust will accept applications from candidates who can evidence their right to work in the UK or via alternative visa routes.
