Operative Development Coordinator
Location: Midlands and UK Wide Travel

About the Role
As an Operative Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in organising, coordinating and delivering training and development across Ipsum Water. You will manage the induction process, support ongoing training programmes and ensure operatives are progressing through the Technical Development Framework. You will work closely with the Operative Development Manager, HR and Talent teams and operational stakeholders to build a highly skilled, safe and professional workforce aligned to the Ipsum Way.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver the full employee induction process
- Liaise with HR and Talent teams on new starters and training requirements
- Support apprentice programmes and development pathways
- Arrange and facilitate internal and external training
- Organise on‑site training across operational activities such as CCTV surveys, drainage repairs and infiltration
- Manage off‑site and compliance‑based training including systems, audits and client requirements
- Track and update employee progress using the Technical Development Framework capability matrix
- Support development of the Ipsum Trained programme
- Collaborate with PMO and external providers to ensure mandatory training compliance
- Work with operational teams to align training with business needs
- Support the development of training plans for operatives of all skill levels
- Coach and mentor operatives to support performance and career progression
About You
You will be an organised and proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for developing people. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively across teams.
