CCTV Call Centre Agent – Nottingham

Security Monitoring Centres (SMC) in Nottingham is looking for CCTV Call Centre Agents for a full‑time, permanent position on a shift‑working basis, including night shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing

With full and ongoing training, you will assist with the monitoring of CCTV and intruder alarms, contacting customers calmly and promptly and ensuring premises safety.

  • Handle inbound & outbound calls to customers and external organisations, including emergency services
  • Process CCTV and alarm activations speedily and accurately
  • Inform relevant emergency services and customers about system status

Working Hours

38.5 hours per week – 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off. Shift pattern: two day shifts (7 am to 7 pm) followed by two night shifts (7 pm to 7 am) then four days off.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience in a telephone‑based or contact centre environment
  • Calm and composed in a busy, fast‑paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong IT skills
  • Commitment to shift working, including day and night shifts
  • CCTV (SIA) badge advantageous but not essential
