As a Learning Support Assistant in Redhill, Surrey, you will work closely with teachers, SEN professionals, and families to provide consistent support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Supporting children’s communication, emotional regulation, and social development
- Assisting the class teacher with engaging and inclusive activities
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Supporting children during classroom activities, playtimes, and transitions
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents
- Implementing EHCP targets and personalised support strategies where required

Desirable Qualifications:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Health & Social Care Qualification
- Childcare or Early Years Qualification
- Psychology or Education-related degree
- Team Teach or behaviour management training (desirable but not essential)
Experience That Would Be Beneficial:
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Nursery, preschool, or primary school experience
- Experience working with Autism or speech and language needs
- Youth work, mentoring, or coaching experience
- Care work or support worker experience
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
