Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our team in Grimsby.
Work with a diverse group of individuals with learning disabilities, supporting them with daily activities, providing emotional support and engaging them in care activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, feeding and mobility support.
- Provide emotional, practical and social support, building meaningful relationships with service users.
- Adjust care plans to meet the changing needs of the person.
- Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays (shift hours: 07:00-22:00). Sleep‑in overnight shifts may be offered with an enhanced flat rate of £64.20.
Qualifications and Experience
- Genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Positive, empathetic attitude and willingness to learn.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
- Suitable references and an enhanced DBS check required.
