Step Into the Classroom With Confidence. Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Cover Supervisors to join vibrant schools across Dorset from January 2026. If you enjoy working with young people, thrive on variety, and want hands-on experience in education, this role offers the perfect opportunity to develop your skills across a range of subjects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead classes and support students’ learning using pre-prepared lessons
• Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
• Manage behaviour confidently and professionally
• Ensure continuity of learning across a variety of subjects

Subjects You Could Cover

Every day brings something new—experience a wide range of curriculum areas including:

• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Humanities
• Modern Foreign Languages
• Design & Technology
• ICT / Computer Science

Who We’re Looking For

• Confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure
• Skilled at communication and classroom management
• Passionate about supporting young people and inspiring learning

Experience & Qualifications

We welcome candidates with:

• Experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
• A degree or strong academic background (preferred, not essential)
• Current safeguarding training (desirable – training can be provided)

What You’ll Need

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Two recent professional references
