This is a hands-on project delivery role with additional involvement in estimating, project costing and pre-construction support.The successful candidate will take ownership of mechanical building services projects from initial tender and procurement stages through to installation, commissioning and final handover. Projects are delivered across the retail, leisure, healthcare, office and wider commercial sectors throughout the UK.This role would suit a mechanically biased Project Manager with strong commercial awareness and previous experience managing HVAC and mechanical installation packages, while also supporting pricing, variations and tender reviews.Whats on OfferSalary £55,000 £65,000 depending on experienceCompany vehicle or car allowanceAdditional benefits packageOpportunity to work on a range of nationwide commercial projectsLong-term progression within an established and growing contractorVaried role combining project delivery and pre-construction involvementQualificationsONC / HNC in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline preferredSMSTS or equivalent health & safety qualification advantageousFull UK Driving LicenceKey ResponsibilitiesManage mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion and handoverOversee HVAC, plumbing, ventilation and pipework installation packages on commercial projectsSupport estimating activities including reviewing enquiries, pricing variations and assisting with tendersProduce and manage project programmes, procurement schedules and labour planningLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycleMonitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance to ensure profitability targets are achievedPrepare technical submissions, RFIs, progress reports and project documentationAttend site meetings and provide regular updates to Directors and senior managementCoordinate commissioning activities and ensure projects are delivered to programme and quality standardsReview drawings and technical specifications, with AutoCAD knowledge beneficialTravel to project sites across the UK as requiredRequirementsPrevious experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services sectorStrong knowledge of commercial mechanical installations including HVAC, plumbing and ventilation systemsExperience managing projects from tender stage through to completionCommercial awareness with estimating, cost control or tendering experience advantageousAbility to manage multiple projects, programmes and stakeholders simultaneouslyStrong communication and organisational skillsWillingness to travel nationwide when requiredCompany OverviewOur client is a well-established mechanical building services contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering design, installation and maintenance solutions across the UK.
