Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsbury stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Operating machinery
- Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
- Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and oven canopies inside the store.
- Cleaning outside areas such as trolley bays, keeping them free of leaves and debris.
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are applied.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part‑time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury’s Pinhoe Road store on a permanent basis. 16 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.21. Immediate start is available. Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day work available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:
- Sunday: Day off
- Monday: Day off
- Tuesday: 18:30 to 22:30
- Wednesday: 18:30 to 22:30
- Thursday: 18:30 to 22:30
- Friday: 18:30 to 22:30
- Saturday: Day off
You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.
