Maintenance 1/Custodial performs a variety of light maintenance and janitorial custodial duties for offices, and common areas as a whole.

SCHEDULE: FULL TIME, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

PAY: $18.00 – $20.00/ hour, depending on experience.

Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attendance at a technical training institute or program.

Work Duties

  • Perform general and preventive maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and flooring repairs.
  • Respond to work orders promptly and complete tasks according to assigned priorities and timelines.
  • Maintain resident units, common areas, and exterior grounds; handle basic cleaning, trash, and recycling needs.
  • Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies while keeping work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulations while communicating professionally with team members and vendors.
  • May clean common areas, including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; dust, sanitize and scrub.
  • Empty trash receptacles; deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles; pick up trash and keep exterior perimeter clean.
