Support Worker: Norwich

Rate: £12.80 per hour (£25,028.64 annually, pro rata)

Hours: Part Time (30 hours)

Training: Full training + NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Essential requirement: Full UK manual driving license

Role Overview

Have you ever considered the difference a smile can make? As a Support Worker, it’s about helping people live their best lives in the ways they choose to. You’ll be supporting a gentleman who has a big personality and a great sense of humour. He values people who are patient, resilient, and able to take things in their stride, including the occasional strong language. He takes real pride in his appearance and his car, enjoys getting out and about, and likes to relax with TV when it suits him. Music is important to him, with a preference for classic artists such as Johnny Cash and Boxcar Willie. Maintaining connections with his family is also important, and he will need support to do this. A good sense of humour is essential in this role, along with an understanding that no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

Assist the gentleman in daily activities, promote independence, maintain his safety and wellbeing, facilitate his social engagement, support family communication, and contribute to a positive and humourful environment.

Qualifications

Full UK manual driving licence.
