We are currently recruiting full time, part time and bank Support Workers specialising in high-risk behaviours to support an autistic individual with an intellectual disability in the Frinton-on-Sea area.

Role Description
We are committed to equal opportunities and are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for dedicated and experienced Autism Support Workers. You will be supporting an autistic individual who has an intellectual disability and complex mental health needs. This is a 6:1, 24/7 support package, so we are looking for individuals who are resilient, skilled, and confident in managing risk behaviours.
Due to the complexity of this support package, we are particularly interested in applicants who have extensive experience in working with individuals with high-level behavioural needs. Ideal candidates may have a background in:
- Services where individuals regularly display risk behaviours
- Crisis intervention roles
- Ex-police or prison officers
- Experienced mental health support workers
Applicants must be calm under pressure, able to maintain professional boundaries, and work confidently as part of a consistent and proactive team. You will be providing 360-degree wraparound support that covers all aspects of the individual’s daily life, including emotional regulation, communication support, and promoting independence.

- Prior experience managing risk behaviours

- Be motivating, encouraging and compassionate on difficult days
- Have a fun, kind personality – someone who enjoys planning activities and going on adventures
- Work as part of a committed team delivering exceptional, person-centred care
- Be solution-focused and creative in supporting independence and choice
- Able to uphold boundaries while building meaningful relationships
- Have a good sense of humour and a supportive nature

Licence/Certification (Preferred):
- Autism and Mental Health-related qualifications MUST
- £125 paid after successful completion of probation period
