Salary: Leadership Scale L(6) – L(10) £59,597 – £65,822 per annum
Cwmfelin Primary School is situated in the Llynfi Valley and serves a wide catchment area with approximately 200 students.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Headteacher to lead and inspire the school community and further develop the shared vision of being ‘Eager to learn, proud to achieve.’
- Play a leading role in both strategic direction and day‑to‑day leadership of the school.
- Develop and maintain outstanding curriculum provision across the school.
- Contribute to a caring and inclusive school environment, supporting staff and pupils in achieving their full potential.
- Work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors, the Inclusion Service, external agencies, and the local community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced Deputy Headteacher, senior school leader or education professional with proven leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and effective classroom practitioner with a passion for education.
- Commitment to inclusive, high‑quality learning outcomes.
- Proficiency in Welsh, as the ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement.
- Enhanced child‑barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) – a requirement for this post.
- Knowledge of child protection responsibilities for all council employees.
