Reliability Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong Reliability Engineer to join our team at Minffordd.

As Reliability Engineer, you’ll lead and continuously improve our site reliability strategy, ensuring maximum equipment availability, reduced downtime and world‑class maintenance performance across the site.

  • Develop and implement site-wide reliability and preventative maintenance strategies aligned with operational goals
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and drive long‑term reliability improvements
  • Optimise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Provide technical leadership and support during breakdowns, fault‑finding and major equipment failures
  • Manage critical spare parts strategies, OEM relationships and contractor activities to ensure operational continuity

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a reliability, maintenance or engineering leadership role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in fault‑finding, RCA and maintenance planning
  • Experience working with OEMs, contractors and CMMS systems to improve engineering performance

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement training
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and thermography
  • NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification

You’ll also be someone who is analytical, resilient and highly organised, with the confidence to lead technical decision‑making and support engineering teams in a fast‑paced operational environment.
