Job Overview

GMP Recruitment is partnering with a leading ventilation specialist in Herefordshire to recruit a Field Service Technician for a full‑time, permanent role.

This position works Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, with a starting salary up to £36K, depending on experience.

As an Installation Technician, you will be site lead for installing clients’ products across agricultural and industrial sites, ensuring work is completed correctly, safely, and to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of clients’ products on agricultural and industrial sites.
• Provide supervision and leadership to installation team and customers’ on‑site labour.
• Offer support and training to dealer and distributor networks.
• Assist with research and development projects, including product testing and practical feedback.
• Maintain company vehicles in a clean, organized, and roadworthy condition.
• Complete all job‑related documentation such as timesheets, site diaries, reports, and completion certificates.
• Adhere to and enforce company and customer health and safety procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic electrical/electronic knowledge.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Comfortable working at height with powered access equipment and static towers.
• Possession of up‑to‑date IPAF, PASMA & CSCS cards is an advantage; courses will be provided when required.
• Travelling throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and worldwide is a prerequisite.
• Long periods away from home may be required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Time‑served Mechanical Technician.
• Must be able to work on site unassisted.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Valid passport for worldwide travel.
