What you’ll do
This role supports legal compliance across strategic projects, procurement, wholesale and AI initiatives. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of high quality legal advice on high‑impact initiatives, manage legal risk and ensure compliance with evolving legislation. Strong relationship building with stakeholders and continuous improvement in legal processes are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice across strategic projects, procurement, wholesale and AI, ensuring compliance and protecting commercial integrity.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, delivering aligned and timely legal advice, supporting cross‑functional collaboration and risk management.
- Support legal risk assessments and apply assurance frameworks to minimise regulatory, financial and reputational exposure.
- Promote governance and improvement: train staff, streamline legal processes, promote automation and scalability, embed best practice across teams.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, group functions, external counsel and commercial partners.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative developments, share knowledge, and contribute to legal team learning and positive change.
Who you are
Legal experience: in‑house legal or commercial contracting team in private practice.Industry knowledge: technology and telecoms sectors, with awareness of relevant legal trends.Risk management: proactively manage legal risk with suitable oversight, balancing risk and mitigation.Commercial acumen: balance legal risk with commercial opportunity to support strategic decisions.Stakeholder engagement: manage stakeholders effectively, negotiate well, and build trusted relationships.Analytical & communication skills: analyze legal data, extract insights, communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
