Cleaning Supervisor

Hours: 40 hours per week – working any 5 days out of 7
Pay: £15.04 per hour
Location: Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth
We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with previous cleaning experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example within a fast‑paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the cleaning team on shift
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed SLA requirements
- Maintain high standards across malls, toilets, back of house areas and external environments
- Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, safe and used correctly
- Support with staff training, development and performance management
- Monitor stock levels, uniforms and cleaning consumables
- Complete audits, reports and use mobile devices for operational data/tasks
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed
- Deliver excellent customer service and professionally handle issues or escalations
- Work closely with the wider site management team to maintain high presentation standards across the shopping centre
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience is essential
- Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience preferred
- Good English communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead a team and work independently
- Reliable, proactive and hardworking attitude
- Flexible approach to working hours and operational needs
- Comfortable using mobile devices and completing basic reporting tasksStrong understanding of cleaning standards
