Driver Hire is recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV HIAB Drivers to support a client based in Bridgwater. This is a non building merchant delivery role.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, professional HIAB drivers looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, competitive pay, and immediate starts available after onboarding.

Role

As a Class 2 HGV HIAB Driver, your duties may include:

• Delivering bulk supplies to commercial sites
• Operating Class 2 vehicles with HIAB equipment
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service on site
• Supporting the client with day‑to‑day transport operations
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately
• Representing Driver Hire and our client in a professional manner
• Following all road transport, driver hours and health and safety regulations

Requirements

• A valid Class 2 / Category C licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience
• Minimum 1 year’s HIAB experience required for insurance purposes
• HIAB certification preferred
• Good communication and safety awareness
• A reliable, professional and safety‑focused approach
• Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
