Personal Support Assistant – D883 – Scarborough

Job Description

1 to 2 Personal Support Assistants are required for 8-10 hours per week per PA to support a man in his early 40s who has low level autism with his independent living.

Responsibilities

• Prompt for everyday tasks such as cleaning, washing.
• Provide support with shopping and going out in the community to places of interest.
• Assist him in enjoying the outdoors, walking, taking the bus or train, visiting museums and the railway museum in York.
• Pay £13.25 per hour (subject to review) with paid annual leave.
• Flexible hours per week, to be discussed at interview level.
• Share hours between the two Personal Support Assistants to provide holiday and contingency cover.
• Drive and have access to a car, if possible, to travel further afield.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism desirable.
• DBS check required.
• Driving licence preferred.
