Econ Engineering is the UK’s largest supplier of winter maintenance and highways vehicles. With 55 years of expertise, we are a leader in designing and manufacturing high‑quality vehicles that keep roads safe throughout the winter months.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a skilled Welder to join our team of day welders at our Ripon Head Office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of components, primarily in mild steel, using MIG welding equipment. These components range from small piece parts to large hoppers and tipper bodies for our commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding a variety of mild steel components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Plating components before final welding.
• Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards.
• Working efficiently to meet production targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with mild steel.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
