Accounts AssistantSalary: £27,000 – £30,000Job Type: Fixed term Contract 12 months

About the RoleWe’re seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy Finance team. You’ll manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:

  • Process purchase invoices through to payment
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received
  • Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and internal teams
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment runs
  • Maintain supplier records and set up new accounts
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and aged creditors
  • Support the Finance team with ad-hoc tasks

Skills & Experience needed from the Accounts Assistant:

  • Previous purchase ledger experience essential
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT skills (InspHire desirable)
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
