Summary
- Join our team as a Customer Service Representative for a 3-month contract with a local authority in Swindon. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service through the Council’s inbound contact centre. You will play a crucial role in promoting a digital-first approach, guiding residents to access a wide range of services online while ensuring all inquiries are managed efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from residents, providing accurate and timely information.
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service at all times.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.
- Encourage and support customers to access services online.
- Promote digital self-service options to improve accessibility and efficiency.
- Assist customers in navigating online systems and information.
- Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment (desirable).
- Experience handling inbound calls and dealing with customer inquiries.
- Experience supporting customers with digital or online services (desirable).
Essential Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
- Work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with mandatory office presence on Tuesdays for team office day.
- Interviews will be conducted in person at Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon.
- We operate on a bi-weekly schedule.
