Our thriving Manchester office is looking for a Legal Secretary to join the Labour & Employment (L&E) Practice Group. We need you to be an organised, professional individual who has a “can do” attitude and willing to go that extra mile to help colleagues at all times.
Team
You will be supporting the L&E practice group providing secretarial and administration support. You’ll be reporting to the Manchester office Secretarial Services Manager and will be working alongside Partners, Associates and other Secretaries. Occasionally you may be expected to provide support to other teams as and when required.
Opportunity
This role would be ideal for someone who is an experienced Legal Secretary, preferably in Labour & Employment, who has some exposure to supporting at partner level and is ready to progress their career.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in heavy and complex billing tasks, to include finalising and sending out bills, client and matter inceptions and understanding KYC requirements. Diary management and dealing with international travel are part of this role along with assisting with extranet sites and updating BD and marketing data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a professional service firm.
- Experience of complex billing, client inceptions and working in a law firm, preferably with L&E experience.
- Excellent communication skills and strong keyboard skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Organised, proactive, ability to prioritise and juggle workloads, flexibility to assist other departments, initiative and supervision (spot where help needed).
