We have an exciting opportunity for two Seasonal Catering Assistants to join the existing Catering team on a fixed term basis from 1st June 2026 to 6th September 2026. Reporting to the Catering Manager the successful applicant will provide excellent customer service, be able to engage with people of all ages and have a friendly and polite manner.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly, be organised and self‑motivated ideally having barista and catering and bar experience but this can be taught and are more interested in finding people who want to work as part of team and have interest in catering and events.
Fort Nelson is situated to the north of Portsmouth on Portsdown Hill, public transport is not available to site and so applicants should take this into consideration before applying.
The shifts will be 4 days out of 7 – 30 hours a week with optional overtime, weekend work is required. The seasonal positions are to cover the summer holidays so we need people who can work the majority of the season. The job is flexible so may need different hours or days on occasion. We are closed on Mondays except for BH and school holidays so optional overtime will be available. Occasional evening work may be required for Events.
