Title: Supermarket Assistant

Location: Malmesbury (Waitrose & Partners), Malmesbury, Wiltshire, SN16 9FN

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: 15 hours per week, across 2 nights.

Pay: £13.00 (£13.25 after 90 days) per hour. Night Premium £3.75 per hour is paid for all hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00.

Closing Date: June 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment – keep shelves full and items correctly placed.
• Fulfil online customer orders for delivery.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items approaching sell‑by dates.
• Support the wider shop team as needed, including checkout assistance, Click & Collect order handling, and on‑demand customer orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop‑keeping tasks.

Essential skills and experience

• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch.
