About the Role
We are recruiting for a 37.5‑hour Support Worker role in Peterhead, part of Community Integrated Care, a large health and social care charity. The role supports a group of adults with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome, helping them live independently in their own homes. The team organise group events and provide daily support such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, managing finances and facilitating leisure activities. The role requires working 24/7 with some weekend and overnight shifts. Day shifts run between 7 am and 10 pm.
Responsibilities
- Support adults with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome to live independently.
- Provide personal care, medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and general support for daily tasks.
- Assist with financial management and goal setting.
- Organise and participate in group events such as cinema visits, art & crafts, sports and concerts.
- Maintain a supportive, respectful and trustworthy relationship with clients.
- Work flexible hours, covering weekend & overnight periods with a 24/7 service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Positive, motivated, reliable and honest.
- Good communication skills and ability to build trust with clients.
- UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities or similar is preferred.
- Female colleague required for this role – genuine occupational requirement.
