Job Description:

Multiskilled Carpentry Repairs Technician

Location: Chesham, High Wycombe + travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire & surrounding counties.

Salary: £41,327 p/a (plus benefits).

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance tasks across multiple trades
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues
  • Maintain van stock and use materials responsibly
  • Manage documentation and update job records accurately
  • Support apprentices or junior staff when required
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota

What We’re Looking For

Must Haves

  • Relevant qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or equivalent experience
  • Strong skills in carpentry and plumbing, plus additional trade experience
  • Good understanding of building regulations and health & safety requirements
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding service to residents

Nice to Haves

  • Experience supporting apprentices or junior staff
  • Familiarity with mobile working and digital job tracking

For Added Brilliance

  • Confidence working independently across a mobile patch
  • Passion for maintaining homes to the highest standards
  • Experience working in social housing/local authority
