As part of our mission to Get, Grow, and Keep Great People, we continue to strengthen the way we deliver safe, compliant and customer‑focused estate services across our portfolio.
Job Overview
We’re now looking for a highly organised, proactive and people‑focused Estates Coordinator to join our team on a 12‑month fixed term contract, supporting healthcare sites across North East Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on coordination, communication and customer engagement within a multi‑site environment.
About the Role
As an Estates Coordinator, you will act as the key point of contact for customers and stakeholders across a portfolio of approximately 8‑10 healthcare sites. Working closely with internal delivery teams and external partners, you’ll coordinate estates activity, ensure issues are logged and managed through agreed systems, and support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our estates. The role is hybrid, combining home working with regular site visits and on‑site meetings at least once per week. Your contractual hub will be Clacton, although the role will focus on the wider North East Essex patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customers across healthcare sites
- Coordinate estates and facilities activities, ensuring tasks are logged, tracked and updated through CAFM or workflow systems
- Host and attend site meetings, maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Monitor service delivery and escalating issues where required to ensure timely resolution
- Support compliance activity across sites, including record‑keeping and documentation
- Provide cover and support for other Estates Coordinators when required, including in Clacton
- Manage multiple activities simultaneously while prioritising customer impact
- Use IT systems confidently to manage data, reports and communications
- Handle routine tasks and social interactions within a work environment, absorbing policy and guidance necessary for the role
Experience and Skills
- Experience in Estates, Facilities Management or asset‑related coordination roles
- Confidence using IT systems and digital tools
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly between sites
- Knowledge of healthcare or multi‑site environments
- Awareness of compliance processes (e.g., water management)
- IOSH or health & safety training (training can be provided)
Where You’ll Be
This is a hybrid role with travel across North East Essex required, with your hub being Clacton Hospital. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) on a 12‑month fixed term contract, with flexibility available around working patterns.
What We Can Offer You
Alongside a competitive salary starting from £30,000 per annum, we also offer a £3,000 car allowance and a 10% performance‑based bonus paid annually.
- 27 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, with the option to buy additional leave
- Smarter Working Policy to support flexible and hybrid working
- Training and development opportunities through our Professional Excellence Framework
- SMART Pension with company contributions up to 6%
- Flexible benefits including NHS discounts and Cycle to Work Scheme
- Colleague Assistance Programme supporting all aspects of wellbeing
