Senior Designer or Midweight stepping up to work on big-name food brands, have proper creative responsibility, and a studio that genuinely values balance as much as ideas.

Salary: Circa £45,000 to £48,000 for a step‑up hire, flexibility up to mid £50,000s for the right senior profile.

Location: London, Clerkenwell.

Work Pattern: Hybrid, three days in the studio (Tuesday to Thursday), nine‑day fortnight with every other Friday off.

Our client is an independent, award‑winning branding agency specialising in consumer and packaging design. They are best known for their work in food and drink, with a portfolio that includes well‑known household brands and consistently strong creative recognition. The studio is small, close‑knit, and highly respected within the industry.

The Role

This role sits within the consumer branding team, with a clear focus on packaging‑led brand work. It is an opportunity for a strong midweight designer ready to step into a senior role, or an established senior who enjoys hands‑on creative ownership within a smaller studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead creative development on consumer branding and packaging projects.
  • Originate strong ideas and carry them through to beautifully crafted execution.
  • Work closely with design directors, creative leadership, and strategy.
  • Collaborate with juniors and artworkers during refinement and rollout.
  • Contribute positively to studio culture and creative discussions.

About You

  • You have solid experience in consumer branding, particularly packaging.
  • Food brand experience is important.
  • You combine strong conceptual thinking with excellent craft and detail.
  • You are comfortable taking responsibility for your work, with support where needed.
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative, ideas‑led studio.

Nice to Haves

  • Shopper marketing or POS experience.
  • Confidence presenting to clients.
  • Exposure to digital or motion work.
