Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Banksman/Rigging Instructor based in the Greater Aberdeen Area. The role involves designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for Banksman and rigging operators, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include developing course materials, evaluating trainees’ skills and progress, and providing feedback to foster improvement. The role also entails maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry regulations and ensuring all training sessions meet the highest safety and instructional standards.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Banksman operations, rigging practices, and lifting operations.
- Experience in creating training materials and delivering high-quality instruction to diverse audiences.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards, industry regulations, and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire trainees.
- Organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver training sessions.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as OPITO-approved Banksman and Slinger certification, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in the energy, offshore, or construction sectors is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in assessing trainee performance and providing constructive feedback is preferred.
