Trainer Academic / Physics Teacher – Ministry of Defence

Location: Lyneham

Salary: £44,546 to £47,417 + Company Benefits

The role involves delivering training modules within the Common Engineering Applications Department of the Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (DSEME) as a Trainer Academic in fields such as electronics control, micro‑electronics, radar, telecommunications, or avionics systems. The primary purpose is to teach and mentor new Armed Forces recruits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and continuously develop instruction on course modules.
• Assist with the technical administration of training course design.
• Maintain a Continuous Personal Development portfolio.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training delivery and seek to improve trainee achievement at every opportunity.
• Perform other roles and responsibilities as required by the role.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience as a Trainer Academic / Physics Teacher or a related teaching role.
• Background in Physics or Electro‑Mechanical disciplines preferred.
• Local to Lyneham or willing to relocate to the area.
• British citizen and eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
