CER Education is currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of local schools in the Gateshead area.
With increasing demand from our partner schools, we’re looking for individuals who can step into the classroom, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure lessons run smoothly in the absence of the teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with classroom or training experience who is looking to gain further school-based experience or progress towards a career in teaching.
The Role:
- Supervising pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
- Supporting pupils with their learning where required
- Ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment
- Working across different schools (day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term roles available)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in a classroom, training, or similar environment (essential)
- Confident communication and strong classroom presence
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach
- Passion for working with young people
