Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, self‑directed individual to join our team within Mental Health Services for Older People in Northwest Hertfordshire. Our service supports adults aged 65 and over by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions and dementia. The post holder will work under the guidance of qualified staff, delivering care in line with agreed plans to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life. They will also assist with a range of tasks that contribute to the effective and smooth running of the service.

Mental Health Services for Older People in Northwest Hertfordshire comprises four core functions: a Community Team, Crisis Service, Therapies, and Social Care. Our multidisciplinary team brings together a wide range of healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to those who use our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring service users’ well‑being and carrying out physical health checks
  • Identifying and reporting changes in mental state
  • Recognising and escalating safeguarding concerns
  • Contributing to discussions within the multidisciplinary team (MDT)

Working Hours

This is a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
