Overview

Location: GravesendSalary: £14phHours: Up to 25hrs a week – may include evenings and weekends

We are a family seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Personal assistant to support my son in his home and community life. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping a young person grow in confidence, celebrate their individuality, and achieve personal success.

As a Support Worker, you will work one-to-one with our son, supporting him in his daily routines and personal development. Your role will include:

  • Encouraging hobbies, social activities, and friendships.
  • Supporting daily routines such as getting ready, preparing meals, and maintaining a calm, safe home environment.
  • Helping him relax and feel secure in his space.
  • Promoting independence and new experiences.
  • Providing consistent, therapeutic care and emotional support.
  • Building a trusting, respectful relationship.
  • Working collaboratively with family and professionals to support his care plan.

  • Ability to build trust and offer consistent, compassionate care.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience is welcome but not essential – the right attitude and values are what matter most.
