Head of Geography – Hounslow – September 2026
Are you an Outstanding Head of Geography, looking for a new Head of Geography position? Perhaps you are already a 2iC or KS Coordinator, looking to step up into your first HOD role. This “Good” graded Secondary School in Hounslow is looking for an exceptional practitioner to lead the Geography department. You will be tasked with raising standards of attainment and achievement, monitoring pupil progress, formulating the faculty improvement plan and leading the development of Geography and its delivery. Moreover, you will be an excellent Geography Teacher that leads by example, serving as an exceptional role model for high quality teaching and learning.
Ideally you have completed some NPQs and are ready to step into the role in September, although they are not essential. Ideally you have KS5 experience but an exceptional Geography Teacher for 11‑16 is urged to apply.

Candidate Specifications
- UK QTS
- Experience teaching in UK Inner City Schools beneficial
- Proven success in raising attainment across the board
- Strong interest in utilising ICT
- Experience embedding strategies for Assessment for Learning
- Prior middle leadership experience e.g. 2iC, KS Coordinator or current HOD desirable
- Strong academic background desired
