Part Time Female Support Worker – £15.00 per hour

About the Job

We are seeking a caring and experienced support worker to offer support to a 7‑year‑old female pre‑verbal speaking wheelchair user for after‑school and possible evenings. Times to be agreed at interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to access community activities and promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care as needed.
• Build a positive supportive relationship with child and family members.
• May be required to administer emergency medication (training provided).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work flexibly, including possible weekends and after school, discussed at interview.
• SEN experience.
• Driving licence and own transport.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Non smoker.
• Enhanced DBS check required (cost covered by employer).
• References required.

Desirable Skills

• Paediatric First Aid.
• Makaton.

Language

English (preferred).
