Location: London
Job Description:

Note: You must be London-based and able to work on-site (4 days per week) in our office, 3 min from North Greenwich station.

Salary: £35,000 / year

EdgeComply is a product compliance service provider for manufacturers worldwide. The headache we solve: to sell products in Europe and beyond, manufacturers need certifications like CE marking. Otherwise, they risk fines, product recalls, and personal prosecution.

But the process is confusing, and the market is dominated by slow, old-school behemoths that are a pain to work with.

That’s where we come in: We are a modern, agile, digital, and fast compliance consultancy. Our Project Managers work on-site in London and are supported by a vast, highly vetted pool of remote compliance experts who execute the technical work.

This role is built for recent graduates who want a serious commercial apprenticeship. As a Business Development Trainee, you’ll rotate through the core revenue activities of EdgeComply: lead qualification, discovery, deal structuring, and client onboarding. You’ll learn how a modern B2B services company grows—from first touch to signed contract while working directly with the Founder.

This is a high-expectation, high-support role. By the end of your first year, you should be capable of running deals independently.

  • Learn EdgeComply’s commercial playbook: how we qualify leads, run discovery, and position value
  • Shadow and gradually take over parts of real client conversations

  • Translate technical or regulatory complexity into clear commercial narratives
  • Support the creation of client offers, pricing logic, and proposal documents

  • Sit in on kick-off calls to understand delivery expectations and client success
  • Speed of progression from support to ownership
  • Quality of client interactions and internal preparation
  • Contribution to revenue-generating activities
  • Professionalism, consistency, and reliability
  • Recent Graduate: Any degree; interest in business, startups, or sales
  • Commercially Curious: You want to understand how money is actually made
  • Structured Thinker: You like clarity, systems, and getting things right
  • Comfortable with Responsibility: You don’t need micromanagement
  • Coachability First: You actively seek feedback and implement it
  • Client-Ready: You carry yourself well with senior professionals

This is a full-time, on-site role.

  • Minimum 4 days/week in our office at the Design District (easy 3-minute walk from North Greenwich station)

  • Occasional evening calls with West Coast US clients (8–9 pm London time)
