Campion Pickworth are partnering with a UK mutual financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Risk Analyst into their second line risk function.
This opportunity sits within a Financial Risk & Model Oversight team and offers broad exposure across capital, liquidity, funding, market risk and balance sheet management activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in independently assessing and challenging financial risk frameworks, supporting regulatory oversight, and contributing to strategic decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide independent oversight and challenge across capital, liquidity, funding and market risk.
- Review and challenge key regulatory submissions — ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing and recovery planning — contributing directly to board-level governance.
- Support model governance and validation across financial risk and treasury models, ensuring robust, well-evidenced frameworks.
- Challenge financial forecasts, planning assumptions and risk methodologies — then translate your analysis into clear, impactful insight for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
- Stay ahead of regulatory, economic and market developments, identifying emerging risks and shaping the organisation’s response to a changing landscape.
- Build trusted relationships with Finance, Treasury and first-line teams — acting as a credible, constructive counterpart across the business.
Candidates should ideally demonstrate:
- A background in financial risk, treasury or balance sheet risk within banking or financial services
- Solid working knowledge of capital, liquidity, funding or market risk frameworks
- Exposure to ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing and/or recovery and resolution planning
- Familiarity with ALM and treasury activities in a regulated environment
- Experience working with financial models and model governance processes
- Awareness of the UK regulatory environment and broader macroeconomic drivers
