Overview
A specialist SEN Primary school is seeking a compassionate and reliable Children’s Support Worker to support pupils with SEN including complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable children.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with severe and complex SEND, including autism and additional needs.
- Provide personal care (toileting, hygiene, changing) with dignity and sensitivity.
- Support emotional regulation, engagement, and daily routines.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff.
- Ensure safeguarding and pupil wellbeing are always prioritised.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with SEND, care, or vulnerable individuals in schools, care, or community settings.
- Confidence and willingness to carry out personal care.
- Calm, empathetic, and dependable approach.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding.
