Position Overview

Personal Care Assistant – 16.5 hr/wk @ £13.91/hr in Rossendale

Complex Care Assistant supporting a client with Cerebral Palsy in the Rossendale Area. Car Driver Essential. £13.91 per hour.

Responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Care/Support Worker to join our dedicated team, supporting a remarkable individual with Cerebral Palsy. This is far more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a real difference each day by helping our client live life to the fullest.

Alongside clinical care tasks you will support the client in enjoying a range of enriching activities such as hydrotherapy, sensory exploration and creative crafts. You will be part of a friendly, person‑centred team where no two days are the same.

(You will be working as part of a small team on a 2:1 basis.)

A full clean driving licence is essential and you must be able to drive the client’s motability vehicle.

Your contracted hours will be 66 hours over a 4‑week period (average of 16.5 hours per week).

Week 1: Tuesday 12:30pm‑5pm; Wednesday 11:30am‑5pm; Thursday 12:30pm‑5pm (14.5 hours). Week 2: Monday 11:30am‑5:30pm; Saturday and Sunday 9am‑3:30pm (18.5 hours).

Salvere Support provides bespoke, person‑centred care in the client’s own home. Our small teams of Personal Assistants work with one client each, enabling a deep understanding of their needs and a meaningful impact on their daily life.

All training is provided and will include e‑learning, face‑to‑face sessions, practical training and clinical competencies. Training is bespoke to the client and regularly refreshed to keep skills current.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication
  • Tracheostomy care to facilitate ventilation
  • Having a clean, full driving licence (wheelchair‑accessible vehicle will be used)
  • Personal care, including incontinence pad changes and skin‑integrity measures
  • Moving and handling (including hoisting)
  • Health‑crisis monitoring and administration of rescue medication
  • Domestic duties (food prep, laundry, cleaning)
  • Support to travel to appointments and participate in social activities such as swimming
  • Monitoring of general health and well‑being, daily record keeping

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
