Based initially in Tottenham and Kennington then GU and RG postcodes
Temp-to-Perm role (Role location listed as Hayes)

Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter to join a busy in‑house maintenance team working across residential properties initially in London then in GU and RG postcodes. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, skilled and motivated Painter who is confident delivering high‑quality decorating works within void properties.
- Deliver high‑quality painting/decorating within residential properties, planning each job effectively and completing works to specification (where provided).
- Prepare surfaces to ensure a proper finish, including minor wall repairs to support tiling.
- For external decoration tasks, carry out small repairs to timber joinery (such as windows, doors and porches).
- Complete external and internal re‑decorations.
- Work safely at all times, comply with relevant legislation and company procedures, and follow risk assessments and method statements, including COSHH, correct use of equipment, appropriate PPE and safe working practices.
- Use materials responsibly and complete works in a cost‑conscious way. Identify requirements early and order materials via approved suppliers when needed.
- Support colleagues and other trades when required, contributing to an efficient, joined‑up service.
- Provide a professional, courteous service, building positive relationships and representing the organisation to a high standard at every visit.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Complete internal painting and decorating tasks, ensuring a high‑quality, long‑lasting finish.
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly, including sanding, filling, sealing, stain‑blocking and minor remedial prep work.
- Ensure areas affected by damp or mould are fully restored to a clean and professional standard.
- Identify and report any further property issues to supervisors or surveyors.
- Manage daily workload effectively, completing work within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Maintain excellent customer service while working in occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
- Use materials efficiently and keep van and tools in good working condition.
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Liaise with operatives and supervisors to ensure smooth delivery of works across the patch.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven background as a Painter or Painter & Decorator.
- Strong preparation skills, including all aspects of surface repair and finishing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Confidence working in residential, occupied properties.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
