Learning Disability Support Worker (Sherringham House)
Salary: £13.85 per hour, plus sleep-in allowance of £80.00 per sleep-in and enhanced overtime rate.
Welcome Bonus: Up to £350.
Location: Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne
Hours: Full and part time roles available over a 7-day rota (both day roles and night roles available)
All we ask is that you have patience, a can‑do attitude and a desire to help others. Full training will be provided to successful candidates who share our vision of providing outstanding support to those living in our care.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to our tenants to develop the essential life skills they need to live as independently as possible in their own home.
- Support our tenants with day‑to‑day life skills, such as taking care of their homes, shopping and cooking.
- Encourage community engagement and support our tenants to maintain friendships and interests, helping them to build confidence and self‑esteem.
- Communicate effectively with the people you are caring for.
- Be required to complete Level 2 Health and Social Care if not already held.
